Town boss Chris Millington made one change from the 1-0 win over Dagenham last timeout with Rob Harker in for Florent Hoti.

The home side started on the front foot, and it was an early chance for Bromley in the first minute, a corner into the box was headed across = across the goal and missed by Michael Cheek and out for a goal kick.

There was a stoppage in play on 10 minutes for treatment to Bromley’s goalkeeper Grant Smith but he was able to continue following it.

A foul by Besart Topolloj on Max Wright gave Town a freekick on the right-hand side. Luke Summerfield and his ball into the box was headed wide of the target by defender Jamie Stott.

Andrew Oluwabori drove at the Bromley defence, with three defenders around him he found George in the box and the ball was worked to Summerfield in space outside the box, but his effort didn’t trouble Grant Smith in the home goal.

Good work down the right saw Tylor Golden in space, his low ball played into the box was smartly defended as Town continued to look for the opening goal.

The home side had a great opportunity to score on 34th minute. The ball into the box was headed on by Cheek to Olufela Olomola and his shot was well wide of the target.

A freekick into the Town box was headed by Reynolds into the danger zone, Cheek and Olomola combined, and the final header was saved by Sam Johnson coming off the bar to safety.

The pressure from Bromley finally told on the 38th minute when the home side look the lead. Town could only clear to Corey Whitely whose first time shot beat Johnson into the bottom left corner for his 7th league goal of the season.

Bromley looked to make it 2-0 just a minute later, a corner into the box found Michael Cheek but his effort was cleared off the line by Luke Summerfield

George was able to find Oluwabori just before the break, he opted to shoot but could only fire it  straight at the Bromley goalkeeper.

Within a minute of the second half starting, Bromley doubled their lead with a strike from Whitely just inside the box finding the top left-hand corner of the goal leaving Sam Johnson with no chance for his second goal of the game.

A freekick from Luke Summerfield found Oluwabori inside the box and his header was wide of the target.

Town made two substitutions on 58th minutes, Florent Hoti and Kane Thompson-Sommers on for Jack Hunter & Max Wright

Ben Krauhaus effort cannoned off the bar having beat Sam Johnson on the half volley and the home side were denied a third goal.

Bromley worked the ball to Whitely on the edge of the box and his effort was over the bar as he looked to get his hattrick against the Shaymen.

Town continued to look for a way back into the game and worked the ball to substitute Florent Hoti, he had an opportunity to shoot but it was high and wide of Grant Smith’s goal.

Six minutes of injury time was signalled at the end of the game and during the injury time period both Adan George and Besart Topalloj were sent off for what appeared to be an off the ball incident.
