FC Halifax Town will return to the Shay tomorrow for the first home match since the final day of last season’s league season with the visit of Bromley, 3pm kick-off.
Since then Town have been crowned FA Trophy winners at Wembley Stadium and have played a number of friendlies away from home.
The Shaymen finished last season in 11th place and will be looking to improve on that position this time around and boss Chris Millington has made a number of signings ahead of the campaign with Ryan Galvin, Jack Evans, Kane Thompson-Sommers, Florent Hoti, Aaron Cosgrave, Andrew Oluwabori and Jo Cummings have come in as well as Adam Senior and Max Wright making loan moves permanent.
Town have dawn games against Glossop North End, Sheffield United U23s, AFC Fylde and Ashton United, wins over Farsley Celtic and Curzon Ashton whilst a team of trialists lost away at Radcliffe on Tuesday night.
Bromley finished last season in the final play-off position but were knocked out by Chesterfield
The two sides drew both games 1-1 last season with the points shared in both games.
Town will be led out by Sam Johnson who has been named captain for the new season by manager Chris Milington.
