FC Halifax Town beat Boston 4-3 in a thrilling affair.
Coming of the back of their first win in 6 last week, The Town looked to make it two on the bounce against Boston, however, in the opening minutes a corner was swung in from the away team which found its way in past all the Halifax defenders putting Boston 1-0 up straight from a corner. Despite the quality of the opener, it was topped just minutes later when in the 15th minute Tinos Ashagre hit a wonder strike from 25 yards out to level the score.
Building off this momentum Hamza Hamdosh made it 2-1 to The Town just 10 minutes later. But the home side couldnโt catch a break from the corners as yet again Boston were able to convert from a corner making the score 2-2, however the action in the first half was far from over as in the in the 42nd minute Lewis Barlow would score Halifaxโs third and put them a goal to the good once again; but once again Boston would equalise this time just before the break.
Despite the resilience from Boston in the opening 45, the second half was all Halifax Town as the created a plethora of chances, however after missed efforts from many of The Shaymenโs front line the home side found themselves desperately needing a winner in the dying embers of the game. And in the 92nd minute their prayers were answered as a real piece of individual skill from left back Steven MacSween found Hamza Hamdosh who converted for his second of the night and snatched the 4-3 win for FC Halifax Town right at the death.
