Born in Wandsworth in London, Byron began his career at senior level during the 2005-06 season with Havant & Waterlooville in what is now Vanarama South.
He played twenty-two games, scoring twice with all his appearances coming off the bench. He began the following season in the Ryman League with Worthing and scored twice in nine games before switching to another Ryman League club, Boreham Wood. He scored thirteen times in twenty-nine games for them before leaving them at the end of October 2007.
He joined Harrow Borough, scoring once in five games before in January 2008 joining Ashford Town (Middlesex) in the Evo-Stik Southern League and over two years he scored fifty-three times in just over 100 games for them. In March 2010 he joined Carshalton Athletic and scored nineteen times in over thirty first team games for them.
In January 2011, Harrison joined League Two side Stevenage and in a year with he scored ten times in forty-six games in all competitions. In January 2012, Harrison joined AFC Wimbledon for a record five figure fee.
He remained with the Dons for just over a year scoring ten times in forty-five games for them. He then joined Cheltenham Town and stayed with the Robins for two years although latterly he was out of the first team picture. He scored eighteen times in eighty-six first team games for them with fifteen goals coming in his first full season for the club.
In January 2015, Byron joined Chesterfield and he scored once in fifteen first team appearances for them; in the 2015-16 season he had a seven-game loan spell with Stevenage scoring three times.
He joined Barrow in July 2016 and made his debut on the opening day of the season against Aldershot Town.
Altogether, Harrison has made 40 appearances for the club, scoring 22 goals. On average that’s a goal every two games, let’s hope our defence can handle him.
