FC Halifax Town will start their away travels with a trip to Cumbria tomorrow night when they face Barrow at Furness Building Society Stadium, 7.45pm kick-off.

The Shaymen returned to the Vanarama National via the 2016/17 Promotion Final with a 2-1 win over Chorley but the return wasn’t favourable as Billy Heath’s side lost 2-0 at home to Aldershot Town at the weekend.

The game against Barrow is the first of two away from home with Chester FC the hosts on Saturday and Heath will be looking for his side to get the first points of the season in the game at Barrow.

Two goals in the second half were enough for the Shots at the weekend whilst Barrow lost 2-1 away at Dagenham & Redbridge with two goals in the first half for the Daggers before Daniel jones pulled one back with a few minutes remaining.

So both teams will be looking for their first points of the season.

Last Time We Met:

Town lost 4-1 away from home in March 2016 with the only goal for the Shaymen coming late in the game from Connor Hughes

Town Team: Johnson, McManus, Bencherif, Roberts, James, Walker (Burrow), Hibbs, Hughes, Wroe, Peniket (Fairhurst), McDonald (MacDonald)

Attendance: 1644
