FC Halifax Town travel to Holker Street to take on Barrow in the Vanarama National League on Monday 26 August; 3pm kick off.

It’s a short turnaround for Pete Wild’s side having produced an impressive 4-1 victory over AFC Fylde on Saturday 24 August. Goals from Liam McAlinden, Tobi Sho-Silva, Cameron King and Jerome Binnom-Williams guided Town to the win. The win put an end to Town’s two game winless sequence, having drawn against Aldershot Town and lost to Wrexham respectively.

The Shaymen go into the game in 4th place in the National League table on 13 points.

As for opponents Barrow, they go into the game placed in 15th position in the table on seven points.

Last time out, they drew 2-2 away at Chesterfield. Goals from Bradley Barry and Scott Quigley helped Ian Evatt’s side to an away point.

Quigley’s goal against Chesterfield put him onto four goals for the campaign, making him joint top goal scorer in the National League.

Last season, the sides shared the spoils at Holker Street in a 0-0 draw in January 2019. However, Town claimed all three points at The Shay in August 2018 as they won 2-0. The Shaymen also overcame Barrow 2-1 in the last 32 of the FA Trophy last season.

The game will be refereed by Garreth Rhodes. His assistants are Mark Stevens & Alex Clark while John Mulligan is the fourth official.
