New signing James Ferry joined FC Halifax Town on a three month loan deal this week and made his debut against Barrow in the FA Trophy on Saturday. We caught up with James after the game.

โ€œI am excited to be here and I was really happy with the win on my debut.โ€

โ€œI found settling in well, I have moved in with some of the lads and they have welcomed me really well. I trained with them on Thursday and Friday and got my chance to make my debut at Barrow. โ€œ

โ€œTo be fair, my first ever menโ€™s game was for Welling United at Halifax and two yearโ€™s later I am back playing for Town and the weather at the Shay wasnโ€™t great that day but the game at Barrow was probably one of the worst conditions I have played in. โ€œ

โ€œI was happy with my performance, it was difficult in midfield with the conditions, you must play the conditions well and we got the win from the match.”

โ€œThe wind was a big factor, we got the goal in the first half. Showed great character to come back and win the game. โ€œ

โ€œI want to win every game, keep the ball and get around the pitch.โ€

โ€œGoing back to my league debut it was a 1-1 draw, I remember it clearly, there was snow on the p itch. It was a great ground and Halifax had a lot of fans there that dayโ€

โ€œSince then my career has progressed well, I have played games, I am getting stronger, and I want to cement my place here.โ€

โ€œOn Tuesday night, we face Boreham Wood and it is exciting to be back after two years and I will be striving to help the team get all three points. Games are coming thick and fast, we need to manage that busy schedule and get the results.โ€
