FC Halifax Town picked up a comfortable win in our third pre-season friendly against a Barnsley youth side.
Two first half goals from Adan George and a second half strike from Max Wright saw the Shaymen finish 3-1 winners.
Town got off to a flying start, opening the scoring after just five minutes. Angelo Cappello, playing on the right wing, sent a cross in to the back post and George nodded home to make it 1-0.
Just ten minutes later and Cappello and George linked up again to make it 2-0. The winger cut into the box from the right-hand side and pulled it back for George to tap in from close range.
The hosts pulled one back on the stroke of the 26th minute. A cross from the left-hand side fell at the back post and the Barnsley man made no mistake to make it 2-1.
With just five minutes left on the clock, Town made it 3-1. Aaron Cosgrave slipped the ball through to second half substitute Wright who fired low past the keeper to complete the scoring.
