  1. Current Head Coach Martin Allen was appointed last month and is currently in his fourth spell in charge of Barnet.
  2. Allen has a reputation for saving sides from relegation, including Barnet, but after 10 years in management he finally achieved his first promotion last year when he guided Gillingham to the League Two title.
  3. Barnet moved into The Hive Stadium at the start of the season and share their ground with Rugby League side London Broncos and Women’s Super League team London Bees.
  4. Barnet boast a long list of notable former players such as Jimmy Greaves, Mark Lawrenson, Alan Pardew and Edgar Davids.
  5. Barnet FC were originally named as New Barnet FC and Woodville FC from 1882-1888 and were known as ‘The Hillmen’.
  6. Barnet’s highest ever league position was in 1993-94 where they spent their one and only season in the third tier, albeit finishing bottom of the table.
  7. The furthest the club have ever reached in the FA Cup is the fourth round when they achived that feat in two successive seasons. In 2007 they were defeated by Plymouth Argyle and were then eliminated in 2008 by Bristol Rovers.
  8. Famous people from Barnet include Stephanie Beacham, Elaine Paige and Johnny Vaughan.
  9. When in charge of Barnet, manager Barry Fry claims he was sacked eight times before being reinstated.
  10. Barnet’s record transfer received comes from the £800,000 sale of Dougie Freedman to Crystal Palace.
