FC Halifax Town will entertain Altrincham at the Shay on New Year’s Day in the Vanarama National League, 3pm kick-off.
It will be 7th vs 6th at the Shay with both sides level on points for the first game of 2024.
The two sides met on Boxing Day at Moss Lane in the return fixture which the Shaymen won 2-1 thanks to goals from Millenic Alli and Jamie Cooke before the Robins got a late consolation from Chris Conn-Clarke.
It was Town’s second away win in two games following a 2-0 victory at Gateshead with a 2-2 draw at home to Rochdale in between.
Altrincham were on a run of three wins and a draw prior to their Boxing Day defeat and have picked up 27 points from their last 42 on offer.
They haven’t picked up a win away from Moss Lane in their last five league games with their last victory a 2-0 win at Gateshead in October.
Conn-Clarke leads their top goalscoring charts with 14 goals in 24 league games.
Season ticket holders from all other Clubs (League 2 & above) are welcome to join us for £15 on production of their clubs season ticket at the turnstiles.
