FC Halifax Town will entertain Aldershot Town at the Shay on Tuesday night in the Vanarama National League, 7.45pm kick-off.
It’s 16th vs 17th in the table with Town one place above the Shots with a slightly better goal dfference of two goals going into the game but The Shaymen do have one game in hand over their opponents.
Chris Millington’s side were defeated 2-0 away at Chesterfield at the weekend which brought to an end a four game unbeaten league run which saw draws against Yeovil, Gateshead and Dorking along with a 5-0 win over Wealdstone at The Shay.
The Shots lost 3-2 at home to Gateshead at the weekend, which saw the Heed move out of the relegation zone and into 20th place in the table.
Last time away from the EBB Stadium they won 2-1 at Southend thanks to second half goals from Tyler Frost and a Joe Partington penalty.
They have won 7, drawn 3 and lost 9 on the road this season and have an identical scoring record away as they have at home with 27 scored on the road and conceded 33 to date
Their top scorer is Inih Effiong with 14 goals in 30 games.
The two sides have met twice already this season, The Shots won the return fixture 5-1 at the EBB whilst Town won 2-0 in the FA Trophy Quarter-Final to set up a semi-final tie against Altrincham this weekend.
