FC Halifax Town had to come from 2-0 down to earn a point at Mill Farm tonight with a 2-2 draw away at AFC Fylde.

Town boss Chris Millington brought Adan George into the starting XI for his debut.

The home side had an opportunity in the first few seconds, a cross from the right had to be turned out for a corner. The ball into the box was then headed off the bar from Luke Charman and Town survived an early scare.

However, The Coasters took the lead on 7 minutes. Luke Charman at the edge of the box and his cross/shot from a tight angle shot was past Sam Johnson and into the back of the net for the opening goal of the game.

Charman found himself edge of the box on 10 minutes, he got a shot in but his effort was deflected into the hands of Johnson.

Debutant Adan George won Town’s first corner in the 16th minute which was headed off the line. Kane Thompson-Sommers effort from the edge of the box deflected out for a second corner which was taken short, but the home side were able to clear in the box.

A cross from Angelo Cappello towards the far post was headed out for a third corner. Thompson-Sommers corner was taken by the wind onto the roof of the net.

The home side doubled their lead on 24 minutes. Nick Haughton won the ball in the box, he beat his man and fired past Sam Johnson

Charman down the left-hand side, his cross into the box had to be turned behind for a corner as The Coasters looked for the third goal.

George did well in the box found Golden and he fired a shot which had to be turned around the post by home goalkeeper Theo Richardson for a corner.

Another great chance for the home side. Jon Ustabasi done the right-hand side and his low ball found Joe Westley and his effort was over the bar from close range in the 39th minute.

Johnson had to save from Ethan Mitchell at the second attempt with five minutes left of the first half.

Town started the second half brightly and George nearly scored on his debut with a shot from the edge of the box narrowly wide of the post.

Good play from Charman again into the box and fired his shot at goal but Johnson was able to save with his feet.

Haughton forced Johson into a save, he couldn’t hold onto it. Westley knocked it across goal, but no Fylde player was there to tap home.

Town boss Chris Millington made the first change of the game with Florent Hoti on for the returning Ryan Galvin on 56 minutes which was followed shortly by Max Wright for Adam Senior.

Town pulled one back on 65 minutes, Angelo Cappello found Jamie Cooke down the left, he beat Sam Graham for pace and fired past Theo Richardson. Game on!

A chance for an equaliser a couple of minutes later, the ball was pulled back to Hoti, but his effort hit his own man and out for a goal kick.

Hoti found Cappello with just Richardson to beat and the goal just waiting to be hit but the ball went the wrong side of the post with 20 minutes left.

Then another opportunity to equalise, Hoti down the right-hand side and pulled it back perfectly for Cooke who fired over the bar from 10 yards out.

However, Town weren’t to be denied that equaliser with Florent Hoti who had been impressive receiving the ball at the edge of the box and fired the ball over Richardson into the net for 2-2 with 9 minutes remaining.

Substitute Danny Ormerod got an opportunity and his shot was straight at Sam Johnson

Ethan Mitchell had a chance to win the game 5 minutes into injury time, but Sam Johnson tipped his effort over the bar. Then had a final effort when he fired wide on his home debut for the Coasters.
