FC Halifax Town will travel AFC Fylde for the final game of the 2018/19 Vanarama National League season.

Town come into the game after a fantastic result after Devante Rodney’s injury time winner. Town now sit in 16th position on 56 points, one more than last seasons total. Three points at Mill Farm will boost The Shaymen to 12th if results go in favour of Town.

The Coasters were thankful of Towns victory over Wrexham, it allowed them to put themselves level on points with the Welsh side and ahead on goal difference. Fylde beat Salford City 1-0 in Salford. That result really hampered the Ammies’ chances of the title.

Fylde striker Danny Rowe currently sits on 27 goals for the season, one more ahead Eastleigh’s Paul McCallum. These two men will be going into the last game looking for goals for the golden boot award.

Last time the teams met was in late September in a 0-0 draw. The game saw Sam Johnson pull out an amazing man of the match performance to keep yet another clean sheet. Shaymen striker Jonny Edwards thought he had the ball over the line as his header came down of the bar but, the officials decided the ball had not.

If you are unable to make the trip to Mill Farm this Saturday, you can listen to live commentary from the ground on Shaymen Audio from 12.15pm for a 12.30pm kick off.
