FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of forward Adan George from National League North side Rushall Olympic.

George began his career in the West Bromwich Albion youth academy before making the switch to the Birmingham City academy in 2015. In 2018, the forward took up a scholarship with The Blues before joining Bromsgrove Sporting in the Southern League Division One Central on loan where he made just one substitute appearance before returning to Birmingham. Despite suffering several injuries, George netted eight times in five appearances for Birmingham’s under-18 side. He also featured for the under-23 team that reached the final of its division, in which they finished as runners-up in the 2018–19 Professional Development League Northern Section, only losing to Leeds United on penalties in the final.

Despite interest from Premier League clubs, in 2020 George signed a two-year deal, with an option of a third, with Birmingham and made his senior debut in their EFL Cup defeat to Cambridge United in September 2020. One week later, he made his league debut, coming on as substitute in Birmingham’s 1-0 win over Brentford. In October 2020, George joined Walsall on loan until January, however failed to make an appearance for the League Two club. The forward spent the rest of the season with Birmingham’s under-23s where they finished runners up in the Professional Development League Northern Section and he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Sheffield United under-23s to secure the title.

During pre-season 2021, George tore his ACL and underwent surgery in September. Having missed the entire season with injury and with his contract expiring in the Summer of 2022, Birmingham offered him a one-year extension with an option of a second. However, he failed to make a first team appearance during the 2022/23 season and Birmingham chose not to activate their option and George was one of 13 players released. In August 2023, the forward joined Alvechurch in the Southern League Premier Central Division where netted five in 14 appearances, earning him a move to National League North side Rushall Olympic in November where he scored three in seven appearances as Rushall sit 20th.
