FC Halifax Town drew 1-1 last night with Yeovil Town at the Shay, Dominic Lund caught up with Jack Senior after the game
A 1-1 draw against Yeovil today, do you think a draw was a fair reflection of the game?
It was a tale of two halves really. I think in the first half, they had more of the ball, but we had the better chances, we took one early on, and by half time we could have had two or three. I think we were solid in defence and they had minimal chances, so if you look at it one way, we could’ve seen the game out, but if you look at it another way it’s a point in the right direction.
Your first start for the club tonight, how pleased were you with your own performance?
To say it was my first 90 minutes since January, I felt alright. I think you can always play better and once I get into a rhythm there will be more to come from me. I felt fit, and I was happy more than anything else to be playing.
Four games into the season now, what have you made of the teams start?
I think if you look at the performances it has been very good, we’ve got a very strong team, and we’ve dealt with anything that’s come at us. You would say it is probably a tough start when you look at the teams we have played, they will be in and amongst it come the end of the season. We are just looking to turn these draws into wins now.
A trip to Woking on Saturday with the games coming thick and fast, how important is it to get that first away win?
It is always important to get that first away win. We will recover tomorrow and come Thursday we will be ready for it and straight away focussing on Woking.
