Halifax Townβs U19 side progressed to the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup with an emphatic 6-2 win away at Wythenshawe.
Town came off the back of their most recent league loss to Gateshead, a game in which Halifax had an abundance of chances but failed to convert any of them. However, this form didnβt continue in the cup as the Town managed to put six past Wythenshaw.
The scoring opened with a well worked corner routine finished off by the skipper Harvey Coates, the lead was doubled by yet another corner routine straight off the training ground, this one turned by Kameron Ali. The third and fourth were dispatched by Lewis Barlow, with the first being assisted by Luke Brooks and the second being set up by Favour Gold. Gold wasnβt finished as he grabbed one for himself and a fifth for the Town. Halifax closed out the game as the two substitutes combined to add a sixth, Barney Wiggin set up Sam Finch to secure the win.
The next round of the cup is due to be played the week commencing October 14th.
