FC HALIFAX TOWN wide man Matty Kosylo says that the best is yet to come from Billy Heath’s in-form side as they look to extend their unbeaten run to seven games against Worcester on Saturday.
Kosylo has found his feet in the Vanarama National League North and has been vital to Halifax’s incredible rise up the table which has finally seen them step into the play-off places.
“We went a run of ten games without getting a result and that is not acceptable,” said the 24-year-old.
“It is just the nature of Football. Sometimes you have those nights where you get home on a Saturday and you just want to quit football. That’s how much it affects you.
“It affects the manager and it affects the players. At the minute things are going well for us because we’re working hard for each other.
“We just have to keep going now that we are back in form and make sure we can get into those play-off spots.”
Kosylo made the move to the MBi Shay Stadium in the summer following an impressive performance against the Shaymen for Nantwich Town last season and admits everyone in non-league expected Halifax to be highflyers.
“I think everyone knows the expectation for Halifax in this league. Everyone watching us is expecting us to get in the play-off and we expect the same.
“We’ve had our rough patch and we came out of the busy Christmas period having to look at ourselves but that is behind us now.
“We are earning the right to go out and play against teams instead of just sitting back and expecting to go through the motions.
“We know we are doing things right and there is a lot more still to come from us as well.”
FC Halifax Town will face Worcester City at the Victoria Ground (Bromsgrove) at 3pm on Saturday 18th February.
