FC Halifax Town managed a hard-fought draw on Saturday away to Warrington Town which sees a replay required on Tuesday to decide who will go through to the first round of the FA Cup.

Matty Kosylo spoke to Shaymen TV following the 2-2 draw and gave his thoughts on the game:

“Tough game, I thought they were the better team. We’ve dug ourselves out of a hole to be fair, we’re in the hat for the next round and we’ll take the replay on Tuesday and fingers crossed we’ll be a lot better as we need to be.”

Kosylo netted the equaliser for the Shaymen in the 71st minute, forcing the game to need at least another 90 minutes. Kosylo admitted that he got the bit of luck the Shaymen had needed all game as he gave his thoughts on the goal:

“To be fair I thought he was going to head it and last minute I’ve seen him ducking his neck, so I’ve just gambled, the keepers come out and vacated a bit of space and as the balls bobbled, it’s took a nice bobble to be fair, it’s probably the only one all game and I’ve just side footed it in.”

Looking forward to Monday’s draw and Tuesday’s game Kosylo admitted that the draw should have no bearing on Tuesday’s results as they look get a first win since the 27th of August. Kosylo said:

“We need to be motivated anyway if we’ve got anything about us ourselves. We need to be at it because I want to win, and I know all the lads, they want to win as well. We just need to show it and we need to be more confident when we play. But we’ll be at it and ready for Tuesday.”
