Aldershot Town 2 – Havant & Waterlooville 0

A game which saw two already relegated sides battle it out for 21st place and their own pride. Aldershot scored two goals early doors through Bernard Mensah who, in the 25th minute, went on to set up his strike partner, McClure, giving ‘The Shots’ a two-goal advantage, which they held for the rest of the game.

Barnet 1 – Bromley 1

A game that saw the two most average teams in the league play in a game in which their midtable obscurity showed. Both teams started the game on 56 points and they both ended on 57. Barnet’s top scorer, Coulthirst, and Bromley’s Higgs scored for the sides respectively as they played out a 1 all draw meaning the sides remain level on points in the table.

Barrow 1 – Hartlepool United 0

A goal from Kay in the 28th minute was the only difference between Barrow and Hartlepool in a game that saw relatively little action and one that will ultimately change the fates of the two sides very little.

Braintree Town 2 – Dagenham & Redbridge 0

Already relegated Braintree Town finally have something to smile about today after two goals in final 15 minutes of the game saw a victory in a very professional performance against the Daggers who have dropped to 15th in the table.

Chesterfield 3 – Boreham Wood 2

In what was one of the most entertaining games of the day an impressive Chesterfield came out the victor in a 5-goal thriller against 19th placed side Boreham Wood. Boreham Wood took the lead through Murtagh in the 28th minute but target man Denton equalised before half time. Four minutes after the break Chesterfield took the lead thanks to a penalty, only for Wood to equalise again ten minutes later. Just when it looked be ending 2-2 Denton bagged his brace in the 85th minute to give Chesterfield all three points.

Eastleigh 2 – Maidenhead United 0

Eastleigh confirmed their playoff position today with relative ease as they brushed aside 20th placed Maidenhead with two goals thanks to McCallum and Yeates. Next weekend will see Eastleigh battle it out with Harrogate to see who will take the 6th position.

Ebbsfleet United 0 – Dover Athletic 1

Even with the Eastleigh result Ebbsfleet lost the opportunity to get into the playoffs after being battered by in-form Dover Athletic. A 51st minute goal from Pavey was all that was needed to end Ebbsfleet’s playoff hopes.

FC Halifax Town 2 – Wrexham 1

The Shaymen shattered the hopes of Wrexham to get a top three place when they brilliantly beat the dragons 2-1. Town took the lead when ex-Wrexham player Quigley got through on goal and smashed the ball into the top right corner. Wrexham levelled before the end of the first half after Holroyd tapped the ball in from 3 yards. Just when it looked as though the points would be shared and Halifax would be looking at their 21st draw of the season, Salford loanee, Devante Rodney, broke into the box, cut on to his left foot and fired into the bottom left corner. The Shaymen sent Wrexham back to Wales without any points.

Harrogate Town 2 – Gateshead 0

Playoff confirmed Harrogate stopped any chances of Gateshead getting into a playoff spot themselves after two goals either side of half time from Thewlis and Beck meant Harrogate would end their home games with a clear 2-0 victory over the north east outfit.

Salford City 0 – AFC Fylde 1

In one of the two games that will have massive repercussions come the end of the season, Salford failed to go level with Leyton Orient after getting beaten by 4th placed Fylde who confirmed their position in the top 5 with only Halifax to play. A goal from Reid was all that was needed to separate the two sides in the heavily contested match.

Solihull Moors 0 – Leyton Orient – 0

The most highly anticipated game of the day which could have seen Orient crowned as League Champions ended as the only game of the day without a goal. Orient now only require a draw to take the title and get back into League 2.

Sutton United 2 – Maidstone United 2

The team holding up the table, Maidstone managed to provide some entertaining opposition to Sutton with a hard earned 2-2 draw. Sutton took the lead after only 9 minutes thanks to Kearney. It then took until the 53rd minute for Maidenhead to equalise through a Turgott penalty. Sutton thought they had the game in the bag thanks to a 76th minute strike from Williams, only for Turgott to thwart their hopes with a converted penalty in the final minute of added time.
