AFC Fylde’s David Challinor continues to add to his squad ahead of the National League season, as his summer signings reach half a dozen with the recruitment of Salford’s Ashley Hemmings who arrives at New Farm having only just signed for newly promoted Salford City in May of this summer. The 27-year-old joins in search for more first team football as it was something they could not guarantee the winger.

On trial forward Josh Walker earns himself a contract for The Bees, as manager John Still seemed impressed following Barnet’s narrow defeat to Ipswich on Saturday. The 20-year-old takes a step up from the Evo-Stik after a season at Hendon FC.

Wealdstone struck a late goal to secure a 1-1 draw with Aldershot Town.

Chesterfield eased to a comfortable 5-0 win at Nuneaton.

Barnet went down 1-0 losers to Championship side Ipswich Town.

Gateshead won 2-1 against last years relegated side Guiseley.

Maidenhead were 2-0 winners at Basingstoke.

Wrexham suffered a shock defeat to AFC Telford; the Red Dragons 3-1 defeat stuns the welsh side.

Salford City won 1-0 at Woking as Carl Piergianni separated the two sides.

National League North side Southport thrashed Barrow 3-0.

Leyton Orient came from behind to win 3-2 at Concord Rangers as their impressive pre-season continues.

Ebbsfleet United secured an impressive 2-0 win over League One outfit Gillingham.

BT Sport have announced their next batch of live televised games ahead of the Vanarama National League season. The Coasters AFC Fylde host promoted side Harrogate Town on a Monday evening with a 5:15pm kick off. Havant & Waterlooville will welcome Aldershot Town and Gateshead make a long southward journey to visit Ebbsfleet at the start of September.
