Guiseley’s relegation was confirmed on Tuesday night, but it didn’t stop then and Dagenham & Redbridge giving the 311 spectators something to remember. Seven first half goals were scored as the southerners held a 4-3 advantage over Sean St. Ledger’s Lions. One further goal was scored in the second half as the Daggers had Michael Cheek’s hat-trick to thank for the three points.

Macclesfield’s promotion back to the football league could be confirmed before Tranmere even kick a ball in Yorkshire with victory over Eastleigh in front of the BT Sport cameras.

Elsewhere, a Barrow win could condemn Torquay United to the sixth-tier alongside Guiseley and Chester. The Cumbrians face third placed Aldershot, whereas Torquay visit Hartlepool who recently confirmed their status as a National League club for next season.

FC Halifax Town could also finish as high as twelfth. If the Shaymen win both their games and all results, go their way they could finish in the top-half. They, like Leyton Orient and Gateshead are on 54 points in 15th, 14th and 13th respectively.
