After falling to their first defeat of the season, FC Halifax Town are back in action this Saturday as they take on Dagenham & Redbridge at the MBi Shay Stadium. The Shaymen headed into the midweek match as league leaders but fell to a 2-1 defeat after three consecutive victories. You are not to worry though as we currently sit 4th.

The Daggers haven’t enjoyed the start to their 2018/19 league campaign. They head into this weekend’s match in 23rd position after achieving just 1 point so far. They have failed to gain any positive results on their travels, so that should be some good news to the Shaymen faithful.

The team that ended FC Halifax Town’s unbeaten start, Salford City, will be hosting Chesterfield. Much like the Shaymen, Chesterfield headed into their last match without dropping a point before being beaten by 3-2 by Barrow. The defeat means Chesterfield drop to 5th and Salford’s win moves them up to 14th.

There are now only six teams who are yet to taste defeat; Wrexham, Gateshead, Sutton United, AFC Fylde, Harrogate Town and Leyton Orient. The top three clubs will play away from home this weekend as Wrexham visit Eastleigh, Gateshead travel to Bromley and Solihull Moors host Sutton United.

FC Halifax Town’s Yorkshire rivals, Harrogate Town, will be travelling to Aldershot Town this coming Saturday. The Shot’s haven’t lost yet at home so maybe that’s something Harrogate fans have to worry about. However, Aldershot have lost every away game so far this season and that leaves them in 17th.

The other two undefeated teams in question are both at home. AFC Fylde currently find themselves in 7th as they welcome Dover Athletic to Mill Farm. Leyton Orient host Boreham Wood in a local derby. The Orient are still yet to win at home this season while Boreham Wood have also failed to win on their travels. Perhaps a draw there then?

The four other matches in this round of fixtures are Barnet v Ebbsfleet United, Braintree Town v Havant & Waterlooville, Hartlepool United v Maidenhead United and Maidstone United v Barrow AFC.
