In this weekโ€™s Vanarama National League North, we kick off with the Shaymen as summer signing Tom Denton continued his goal scoring exploits bagging the first of two Halifax goals against Altrincham.

The striker had already made an incredibly positive impact early on in his career as he had bagged a hat-trick in his first competitive game against Nuneaton Town. His close range finish against Altrincham makes it four goals in just two games for Denton.

Altrincham themselves have some transfer news after 18-year old Khius Metz was loaned in from Premier League side Burnley. Metz has already shown blistering pace in the game against Halifax, something that should be expected after the youngster set school records in sprinting.

Another teenager has also made a loan move to the Vanarama National League North as Wes Harding has joined Alfreton Town from Birmingham City. The youngster will have to make an impression at the heart of defence.

The final bit of transfer news comes from AFC Fylde after Manager Dave Challinor brought in two new goalkeepers to make it three shot stoppers signed in the space of two weeks.

Huddersfieldโ€™s Ed Wilczynski and Chesterโ€™s Tony Thompson join Rhys Taylor as the three will compete for the number one shirt.

Thatโ€™s it for the round-up of news for this week. With a number of teams looking to strengthen their squad, it will be interesting to see what other players will be brought into the league over the next couple of weeks.
