Vanarama National League News
A number of National League matches on Saturday February 2nd have been postponed due to FA Trophy progression of the clubs involved. These are:
AFC Fylde vs Havant & Waterlooville
Aldershot Town vs Solihull Moors
Barrow vs Leyton Orient
Braintree Town vs Chesterfield
Eastleigh vs Barnet
Harrogate Town vs Bromley
Maidstone United vs FC Halifax Town
Salford City vs Sutton United
Former Torquay United manager Gary Owers has also been recently appointed as the National League’s first ever Head of Player Development.
Owers said to the National League’s official website: “I would like to thank Chief Executive Michael Tattersall for the opportunity to lead on Player Development on behalf of The National League.”
After enjoying a playing career with teams including Portsmouth and Bristol City, the 50 year-old has a plethora of management experience.
