Stalybridge Celtic picked up a huge three points in midweek, as they beat fellow strugglers Bradford Park Avenue 4-3, to boost their slim hopes of National League North survival alive.
In a game very much dubbed a โsix pointerโ, Celtic took the lead through Danny Pilkingtonโs free kick before Shane Killock and Wayne Brooksby put Avenue ahead. James Roberts and Aaron Chalmers put Stalybridge back in front before another equaliser from Avenueโs Nicky Wroe. Celtic won the match through Porya Ahmadi on 74 minutes.
Nathan Lowe signed a new contract at FC United of Manchester, announced hours after his 94thย minute winner against Tamworth. He will stay with the club until the end of the 2017/18 season.
Elsewhere, Jordan Richards has extended his loan stay at Alfreton Town until the end of the season. Heโs on loan from Hartlepool.
In other loan news, Greg Tempest has gone from Nuneaton to Gainsborough, and also joining Trinity is Boston Unitedโs Callum Chippendale. Nuneaton have done some business of their own as Kailan Gould joins the club from Evo-Stik Southern Division One South & West club Bishops Cleeve.
Former Shaymen loanee Daniel Nti has joined Kidderminster Harriers after his release from York City.
