Following our 1-1 draw away at fellow high-flying Stockport we caught up with new signing Jordan Sinnott who took a starring role in midfield –here’s what he had to say.

“It was a tough game with a big crowd here, we took the lead through Dents [Denton] who is on fire at the minute and we got in at half-time and the gaffer said ‘look, just keep things tight and keep winning second balls,” said Sinnott “We started a bit slowly in the second half and they got the crowd behind them and they ended up getting the equaliser which opened the game up I felt and I think from then we had the better chances, including a few for myself, so disappointed not to put them away,”

“[on those saves] yeah, I was disappointed; linking up with Dents again –there was Jordan Burrows on the left and I was thinking I should have slotted him in, but the defenders have read that and it has opened up for me. I struck it well, I was off celebrating, but the keeper has made an unbelievable save and it was quite unlucky to be fair,”

“It’s a good start; some of the lads are disappointed after being pegged back tonight, but it’s a good start and still unbeaten under Billy who has gotten his philosophy through to us, he wants us to work hard and then the quality will show. All in all a good start and we are still top of the league,”

“Every game is hard [on Saturday’s home game against Tamworth]. I feel it doesn’t matter this stage of the season other results, we are still working hard and hopefully, we can get another win on Saturday.”
