FC Halifax Town drew 0-0 away at Solihull last night, we caught up with Sam Johnson to get his views

A 0-0 draw here at Solihull, what are your thoughts on the game?

I thought we were a different class today, recently let ourselves down not so much the results but performances. So, we had to step up today we knew it was going to be a tough game and they came at us for the first 10 15 minutes and piled the pressure on, but every man stood up and I thought we were brilliant.

Clean sheet again, that must be a massive positive for you?

Yeah being a few games in the league now and it’s nice to have Browny back and happy to come away from a tough place like this with a clean sheet.

They won a penalty it the first half, what was your view on that?

I think Browny has won the ball, but I think it was the force that came with the tackle it was one of those. But recently I think we’ve needed a bit of luck and obviously he’s missed it and the sun was shining down on us today.

Looking ahead to Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday who has won 7-0 tonight, what will you do to prepare for that one?

Yeah, they’ve just hit form at the perfect time. Think we’ll just do what we normally do and study what they’ll do and work on it on Thursday and Friday and hopefully a strong defensive performance there and we’ll hopefully nick a goal.
