We appreciate everyone will have heard the announcement from the Prime Minster on Tuesday 22 September and the ”pausing” of fans attendance in stadia from 1 October which affects the start of our forthcoming season in the National League.

Unfortunately, these rules are not changing in the short term, so we have to provide some options going forward. Therefore, we would ask that you carefully read the following instructions which will outline the process for season ticket holders, non-season ticket holders, regarding match streaming.

  • Streaming will be available from FCHT for our home games only and will be provided by us. The home Club is responsible for providing match streams. All monies will benefit the home Club
  • All the equipment is fully installed at the Shay Stadium. Together with our suppliers, we are currently developing our own personalised streaming platform which will be completed and ready within the next couple weeks
  • You will be able to stream our home fixtures against both Dagenham & Redbridge and Yeovil Town on a temporary platform (this will not affect the quality of the stream, just the front end signing in page)
  • We will also be integrating match day commentary via the streaming service. However, this will mean we will not be providing free audio commentary for our home games via Shaymen Audio, but we will continue to provide free audio commentary for away games on the condition our media team are allowed access to the opposing ground under Covid-19 restrictions
  • We will continue to provide match day updates/social media updates as usual, again provided our media team are allowed access to the opposing ground under Covid-19 restrictions
  • If you are a paying season ticket holder for the 2020-2021 season, you will receive all our home games this season for FREE whilst we are required to play behind closed doors. Starting for our first game against Dagenham & Redbridge, as a paying season ticket holder you will receive a voucher code and streaming link via email by noon on Saturday 3rd October
  • This will then be the same for every home game. For our midweek games the voucher code and streaming link will be sent by 5.00pm on the day of the game
  • If you are a paying season ticket holder and don’t receive one of these codes, please contact between 12pm and 2pm on Saturday (Please do not contact the Club prior to this time) or 5.00pm to 7.00pm for a midweek game
  • The Club will announce other options available to season tickets holders who have purchased a 2020/21 ticket at some point next week. Please do not contact the Club about the options until the communication next week, as there will be a number of different options available to you
  • For non-season ticket holders, you can also subscribe to the game against Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday. Please keep an eye out on our social media channels over the next 24 hours for information on how to pay and how to stream our game. Our home games will be available to stream at £9.99 per game in line with the recommended RRP
  • If you are holding a paid 17 and under season ticket – we will again make options available to you next week. You will be sent a voucher code for the D&R game
  • Subject to those Clubs providing match day streaming options, for AWAY games, we will advertise the links for streaming ahead of each match and everyone will need to purchase via the home club to watch the game

We are terribly frustrated by the situation we find ourselves in, just as you are. We appreciate the health of the nation has to come first, but these are challenging times financially for the FC Halifax Town and others of course. We have made a substantial investment in the equipment and infrastructure to be able to provide an interim solution through live streaming of the games. With a skeleton staff, we have worked tirelessly to be able to do the best for the Football Club and for our supporters. We continue to ask for your patience whilst we get ourselves to a position where we can observe all the strict Covid rules for a game to be played in a stadium behind closed doors, we are in a position to put a team out on the pitch and able to stream the game live as the very best alternative option.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support. Here is to a new but strange season to come, but let’s enjoy it in the best way possible and in the not too distant future we can open the turnstiles again.

Come on the Shaymen!
