FC Halifax Town were defeated at home by Morecambe 0-1.
Town started off on the backfoot and werenβt able to find a solid footing in the first half, this would prove to be costly to the hosts as Morecambe would capitalise on their advantage and convert from a corner in the 44th minute.
The hosts came out of the break revitalised and grew into the game, many Halifax chances would threaten the Morecambe goal with Jaiden Parchment, Harry Dawson and Ryan Bailey all coming close to an equaliser. However, Halifax found themselves still trailing going into the last moments of the game, with nothing to lose Halifax goalkeeper Ryan Gill went up for a final corner. Against all odds the ball would fall to Gill, and with the game on the line the goalkeeper’s volley was cleared off the line.
And this action would prove decisive as Morecambe would come out 0-1 victors.
