If FC Halifax Town are to make it through to the next round of the Buildbase FA Trophy it will have to be at the second time of asking as Matlock Town visit the Shay on Tuesday for a replay. Both sides will be looking to go one better than Saturday and edge one step closer to Wembley – a venue Shaymen will be rather familiar with!

By kick off on Tuesday, the two sides will have learnt their potential opponents as the 1st Round draw takes places on Monday, meaning there could be a big prize awaiting the victor with National League sides entering at this stage.

Current Form:

FC Halifax Town: WWDLD

Matlock Town: WWWLD

Key-Man:

Marcus Dinanga on loan from Burton Albion currently boasts eleven goals in the league, from just nineteen games. After signing his first pro contract in the summer with Burton Albion, Dinanga was keen to impress manager Nigel Clough in a bid to earn first team football. The pacey striker/winger has helped Matlock Town to their best ever FA Cup run in 27 years, coming just shy of the first round proper. Dinanga had a big impact on the game on Saturday, coming close to scoring.

Last Meeting:

The two teams met on Saturday in the initial tie. Alex Simmons goal in the final ten minutes salvaged a draw for the Shaymen at Causeway Lane. Curtis Morrison gave the hosts the lead seconds before half time. Matlock will perhaps be feeling unlucky that they didn’t win the game.

Match Officials:

Referee: Paul Newhouse

Assistant Referees: Nicholas Hawksby, Joseph Goodwin

Follow The Game:

If you can’t make it to the Shay on Tuesday night, you can follow the game by visiting the Shaymen Wall, which will bring you all the action as it happens throughout the 90 minutes. You can also follow @FCHTOnline on Twitter and FC Halifax Town on Facebook.
