  1. They are the most successful football club in English football with 20 league titles, two more than next best Liverpool.
  2. Club legend Ryan Giggs holds the record for most appearances for the club with 963.
  3. The last time Manchester United played outside the top division was in the 1975/76 season.
  4. During Alex Ferguson’s time as manager of the club, they never finished lower than third in the Premier League.
  5. In 1999 Manchester United became the first English team to win the treble of the League, FA Cup and Champions League.
  6. Manchester United’s famous five youth academy players David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes, made 3038 games for the club between them.
  7. Louis Van Gaal became the club’s first non-British manager in their history when he was appointed in 2014.
  8. In 1956 Manchester United won the league title with a team that had an average age of just 22, they were known as the Busby babes.
  9. Their 9-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town in 1995 is still the biggest winning margin in Premier League history.
  10. Angel Di Maria is the clubs record transfer costing a reported £50 million in 2014, but was sold after just one season.
