FC Halifax Town host Macclesfield Town on Saturday, with the Shaymen hoping for another set of three points which will push them closer to the play-off-finishing-line.

And Town’s official matchday programme, the Shaymen Shout, as always, is jam-packed with fabulous, juicy content to satisfy your literature-thirst.

The Semi-Finals of the Head-to-Head Quiz take place with Phil Senior, Marc Roberts, Paul Marshall and Josh Wilson all looking to stake a claim as the Brainiest Shayman. But which competitor said this after progressing through to the Final:

β€œThat was a lot tougher than I thought it would be! I’m not surprised he didn’t do as well as me! I think I got five out of five last time out but this was a lot harder. I’m through to the Final though, so I can’t moan. I best get studying now for the Final.”

The Final can be found in the Shaymen Shout edition versus Macclesfield.

We also quiz Robbo about this wonderful season for the Shaymen. But what is the young centre-back’s Game of the Season?

β€œThe Barnet game just gone has got to be up there to be fair. Everyone put in a shift and it showed on the pitch. They are no muppets and we made them look average. It wasΒ creditΒ to everybody involved. That was the best performance this season.”

Staying with the Barnet trip, our man Ben Manning was at The Hive to record a special FCHT Media Team diary-entry, exclusive to the Shaymen Shout:

β€œKelly Gilchrist and Adam Cheshire, club legends in the media department, likely to remain in position long after we move on to pastures new, were released to watch the game from the away end. They were robbed of the chance to catch the ball cleared out of play by Sam Muggleton high into the sky. It fell into my grateful hands without so much of aΒ bobble, so if anyone’s looking for a goalkeeper with safe hands, get in touch! As we know, the game played out in the best possible fashion as Town picked up a well-deserved three points, further heightening the chances ofΒ play-offΒ football in West Yorkshire.”

In addition, after some thorough investigating, there is also an enlightening article into how the Shaymen can etch their names into the Football Conference history books – which is accompanied with a mind-blowing twist!
