Ahead of FC Halifax Town’s trip to Lincoln City this weekend we got the thoughts of flamboyant midfielder Reece Gray at Tuesday night’s training session.

“I’m looking forward to the Lincoln game obviously that’s the only one I’ve impacted in really because I came on and scored.”

Town came from behind in the last two games to earn a valuable point away to Aldershot and at home to Cambridge. Gray says he doesn’t feel Town are any worse away from The Shay.

“I’ve not noticed that the away form is so bad actually; we are so strong at home aren’t we. I don’t know what it is that makes us worse away.

Gray came off the bench against Aldershot and assisted Lee Gregory’s second goal with a delightfully weighted through ball, Gray says to him assists are as good as goals.

“I want to create goals as well as scoring goals, I feel creating goals are just like scoring goals to me really.”

The Shaymen’s last win came in the reverse fixture at The Shay where Gray scored. We asked Gray whether Town could reproduce a similar display at Sincil Bank.

“Yeah I don’t see why not 5-1 against Lincoln, Lincoln are a good team but I don’t think there is anything special about them, I don’t think there is anything special about any team in the league really except Luton and maybe Cambridge that’s all that stand out.”

Kick off at Lincoln City 15:00 Saturday 1st February.
