  1. Leicester hold the record for most FA Cup final appearances without winning the trophy, losing four times in the final.
  2. Former Halifax man Jamie Vardy holds the record for most consecutive league games scored in with 11 matches.
  3. England world cup winner Gordon Banks has picked up more England caps than any other player while playing at Leicester with 37.
  4. They are nicknamed the foxes due to Leicestershire’s long tradition of fox hunting.
  5. The club was founded in 1884 and were originally known Leicester Fosse.
  6. The foxes have played in two football grounds since they were included into the football league, the first was filbert street, which they played in from 1891 up until they moved into their current King Power stadium in in 2002.
  7. Leicester qualified for the Champions League for the first time in the 2015/16 season.
  8. Leicester city are one of only two clubs to win the Charity/Community shield without ever having won the league or the FA Cup.
  9. Arthur Chandler is the foxes’ all time leading goal scorer with 273 goals in all competitions.
  10. Gareth cross has made the most appearances for the club with 599.
