1)ย ย ย ย Pride of Worcestershire
Kidderminster Harriers are the only team from Worcestershire to have ever played in the Football League, competing from 2000-2005.
2)ย ย ย ย Aggborough Stadium
The club have used Aggborough as their home ground ever since their formation in 1886.
3)ย ย ย ย FA Cup
Harriers were the first club from Kidderminster to enter the FA Cup, reaching the first round proper before being knocked out by Darwen.
4)ย ย ย ย Jesse Pennington
In a bizarre turn of events, then-England full-back Jesse Pennington became involved with his club, West Bromwich Albion. He subsequently signed for Harriers and played a solitary game before returning to Albion when the dispute was resolved.
5)ย ย ย ย Big Signings
During the 1924/25 season, Harriers signed Stanley Fazackerley, who had been the first ยฃ5000 transfer in English football and had scored the winning goal for Sheffield United in the 1915 FA Cup Final. He had had a dispute with his club (then Wolves) and he and the then-Wolves captain both signed for Harriers.
6)ย ย ย ย Big Clubs Swooping
Professional football clubs began picking up a raft of young talent from Harriers in the late 20โs, including Crystal Palace, West Brom, Huddersfield Town and Walsall.
7)ย ย ย ย Scoring Record
In 1935/36, a scoring record was set for the club, when Billy Boswell scored 64 goals in a single season.
8)ย ย ย ย Floodlights
On September 14th 1955, Harriers became the first team to host an FA Cup match under floodlights when they played Brierley Hill Alliance at home for a replay. They won the tie 4-2.
9)ย ย ย ย Kim Casey
The signing of Kim Casey from Gloucester in 1985 soon proved a successful one. He scored 73 goals in 69 games in his first season, and notched 47 in the next for a total of 120 goals in two seasons.
10)ย Record Win/Defeat
The clubโs record defeat was a 13-0 loss at Darwen in the FA Cup in 1891, a game played after an initial 3-1 loss was protested by Harriers to be because of poor pitch conditions. Their record win is an enormous 25-0 victory over Hereford Club at home in the Birmingham Senior Cup in 1889.
