This weekend see’s the Easter weekend double header in the Vanarama National League. First up for FC Halifax Town is Hartlepool United on Good Friday.

The Shaymen are placed one place above the Pools in the table with only goal difference separating both sides, having only lost one in five.

The Pools played now relegated Aldershot Town down in Hampshire. Pools went behind early and had to wait until the 80th minute before Gavan Holohan scored, to confirm Aldershots relegation.

Star player Liam Noble will be hoping to be the difference for Hartlepool as he will be hoping to add to his impressive tally of 13 goals this season. One win in the last five games represents the story of Hartlepool’s season, with poor form and huge inconsistency being the main reason why Hartlepool have failed to push on this campaign.

Town will be looking to get one over on the hosts after Hartlepool won 2-1 at The Shay earlier on in the season. In a very controversial game seeing skipper Matty Brown and Matty Kosylo seeing red. Both sides will be looking to get a couple of wins before the seasons comes to an end, with the possibility of a top half finish still on for both clubs. Despite scoring two goals in each of their last two games, they failed to register wins in either, so a solid defensive display will be top of the agenda for Jamie Fullarton
