FC Halifax Town will entertain Gateshead at the Shay on Tuesday night in the Vanarama National League, 7.45pm kick-off
Town started the season with three home games in a row and Tuesday night will see early leaders Gateshead head to the Shay.
The Shaymen go into the game with one win and one defeat on home soil this season, winning 2-1 against Barnet and then losing 1-0 thanks to Josh Barrett’s early strike at the weekend for Aldershot Town.
Chris Millington will be looking for a reaction to the defeat at the weekend before two more quick games with a trip to Dagenham on Friday night and then host Solihull on August Bank Holiday Monday.
Club record appearance holder Sam Johnson will be expected to play his 400th game for the Club in goal tomorrow night against one of his former sides.
Gateshead are top of the tab with two wins out of two so far. On the opening day of the season they won 5-1 at home to Ebbsfleet thanks togoals from Callum Whelan, Owen Oseni and a hat trick from Greg Olley
They won 2-0 at Woking at the weekend in a game which will be remembered by everyone at Gateshead for the wrong reasons as Olley sustained a broken leg following a challenge from Woking’s Dion Kelly-Evans. Everyone at Town wishes him well during his recovery.
The two sides met last season and drew 0-0 at the Shay and Town won 2-0 at Gateshead thanks to goals from Kane Thompson-Sommers and Millenic Alli.
