Cambridge have lost more ground on league leaders Luton after they were held to 0-0 draw at home to Wrexham last night. The Uโ€™s now find themselves eight points behind the Hatterโ€™s with a significantly inferior goal difference. Wrexham are only the third team all season to avoid defeat at the Abbey Stadium and the point has kept their slim hopes of reaching the playoffs alive.

The performance of the evening game from relegation strugglers Dartford who knocked five past Woking to claim a vital three points. The hosts were lying second from bottom at kick-off and must have feared the worst when they went behind to an early goal from Wokingโ€™s Scott Rendell but braces from Alex Wall and Max Cornhill helped Dartford to an emphatic 5-1 victory which leaves them two points from safety.

Consecutive wins for Dartford have lifted them above Tamworth who suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Salisbury. Dan Fitchett struck twice within the first 20 minutes of the game to give Salisbury all three points and a place in the top five.

Barnet also edged closer to the playoffs last night, the Bees are now just two points off the playoff places after they picked up their second win in four days. Mark Robsonโ€™s side backed up their 1-0 win over Tamworth at the weekend with a hard fought 2-1 win over fellow playoff hopefuls Grimsby at the Hive. A win would have taken Grimsby into the top five instead they now find themselves below the Bees.

Elsewhere Aldershot claimed a point at home against Forest Green to edge out of the relegation zone on goal difference. A frantic six second half minutes saw four goals, two for either side, as the teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
