FC Halifax Town will host League One side AFC Wimbledon this Saturday in the FA Cup second round. The fixture is one of 20 games to be played this weekend, with a chance of many upsets on the cards as teams battle for a place in the third round of the FA Cup.

A fantastic affair between the Shaymen and AFC Wimbledon will kick off at 12:30 on Saturday being the second fixture of the weekend. Both sides go into the game coming off a loss after FC Halifax Town lost heavy to Ebbsfleet on the weekend, while AFC Wimbledon lost 1-0 away to Peterborough on Tuesday.

The first fixture of the FA Cup weekend is on Friday night with Solihull Moors entertaining Blackpool. National League outfit Solihull go into the game unbeaten in their last eight games and found themselves in the second round by beating Hitchin Town 2-0. Blackpool made it past Exeter in the first round winning 3-2 away from home.

A Welsh rivalry appears on the list this weekend with Wrexham facing Newport County at the Racecourse. The two sides haven’t faced each other since Newport beat Wrexham in the Conference play off final 2-0 to secure promotion to League Two. Wrexham eased past Weston Super Mare in the first round, while Newport easily beat Metro Police 2-0.

The lowest ranked team in the Cup Southport face a tough task travelling away to Tranmere. Southport sit 18th in the Conference North but their form at late has been brilliant, as they’re unbeaten in their last seven games. Tranmere are currently 8th in League two but they scraped past Oxford City in a first round replay to get here. Southport won comfortably against National League side Boreham Wood.

The Non-league sides left in the competition are Maidstone United who host Oldham. National League South leaders Woking will face a tough trip to Swindon. Slough Town scraped through against Sutton on Penalties in the first round, they now face a harder task at home to League One side Gillingham. The two Non-League sides facing off will be Barnet against Stockport. Chesterfield will also host Grimsby. Finally, National League South Guiseley host Fleetwood on Monday night.

Southend Utd vs Barnsley

Plymouth vs Oxford Utd

Accrington Stanley vs Cheltenham
