FC Halifax Town will travel to Darlington this weekend in our latest friendly, so we are going to briefly sum up the key facts about Darlo.

They are known as Darlo for short, or their nickname is the Quakers. They were initially founded in 1883, but were forced to reform in 2007 having been placed in administration, therefore taking the new name of Darlington 1883.

Their current home is Blackwell Meadows which has a capacity of 3,300. The ground officially opened on Boxing Day 2016, with the game being played against ourselves, FC Halifax Town.

Their manager is the former Newcastle United and Ipswich Town player, Alun Armstrong. He joined this summer having left follow North Eastern side, Blyth Spartans who also play in the National League North. Last season, Darlo finished 16th in the league.
