Good afternoon, and welcome to you all. We’re into the final third of the season now, and at the Supporters Club this tends to be our busiest time of the year.
First up on the agenda is our sponsored match, which I explained in great detail in the last home programme. In case anyone missed this, sufficient to say that it will take place at the Sutton match on Saturday March 3rd.
We are still looking for volunteers to join the sponsored walk to Guiseley on Saturday March 17th. Although we have had a fair response already, we still require more participants, as it goes without saying that the more walkers take part, the more money we will raise.
Next up is our joint race night (with the RAOB) on Friday March 23rd. This is scheduled for the Belgrave Social Club on Claremount Road. More detail of this a bit nearer the time, but I think I’m right in saying that all races and horses have now been sponsored. Thanks to everyone who has helped, and don’t forget to turn up on the night!
We are also making preparations for the Annual End of Season raffle, and at this stage we are looking for donations of prizes. The main prizes are already in place, but a few additions certainly wouldn’t come amiss. Tickets are now at the printers, but we won’t be sending them out just yet.
Finally, an update on the Supporters Club programme shop beneath the East Stand. You may recall that we had to call a temporary shutdown, due to the tables we used being reclaimed by their owner. Fortunately, we have been able to construct our own replacement trestle tables, so the stall is now back in business before all home games. As ever, we need your custom – both to make purchases and to provide donations of additional stock. Hopefully there won’t be any further interruptions to our service from now on!
