Dagenham & Redbridge: Match Preview

FC Halifax Town are in action at The Shay for the second time this week in the coming Vanarama National League fixtures this Saturday, as Dagenham & Redbridge make the journey to West Yorkshire.

The Shaymen sit top of the pile as Pete Wild’s men are the only team with a 100% record, with convincing performances over Hartlepool on Tuesday night and Ebbsfleet United on the opening Saturday.

The Daggers have won one and lost one out of the opening two fixtures. Peter Taylor side got their first three points of the season on Tuesday night away to Dover Athletic. After Mitch Brundle was able a way his spot kick to give The Daggers the victory after a opening 2-0 defeat at home to Vanarama National League new boys Woking.

Last season The Daggers were unable to beat Town. At The Shay Town as former Shaymen Matty Kosylo and Jonathan Edwards scored in a 2-1 home win. In the reverse fixture Town played the majority of the game with 10 men in a 1-1 draw, as Josh Staunton saw red just after the half hour mark. Nathan Clarke scored an equaliser 10 minutes from time to share the spoils.
