FC Halifax Town U19s secured a comfortable home win against Chesterfield.

The Shaymen were right at it from the first whistle as they controlled the tempo of the game and took the game to the visitors, Town would break the deadlock in the 20th minute as Max Walker would capitalise on his chance giving Halifax the lead. There was no let up after the host’s goal as Barney Wiggins double the lead in the 25th minute and would score his third in three weeks, however they weren’t finished with Chesterfield yet as Sam Finch would add a third to Town’s tally before half time.

The second half would have a significantly less amount of action as Halifax would keep the second half scoreless as the home sides manager Nick Spooner would comment “the second half was comfortable.” And the game would end with the same score it was at the break, FC Halifax Town 3-0 Chesterfield. This win took Town’s winning streak to six games.
