FC Halifax Town are delighted to announce that midfielder Dion Charles has re-joined the Shaymen on a six month loan deal from Fleetwood Town.
Charles, who can also play in a more advanced position, joins Town until the sixth of January, after a successful loan spell during the second half of last season.
Shaymen fans will mostly remember Charles for his work ethic and pace when driving forward, factors that were crucial to Billy Heath’s plans in the run up to the Promotion Final Victory back in May. Not to mention his goal scoring ability, his first goal coming in the 3-0 away win over FC United of Manchester.
Before joining Town earlier in the year, Charles had previously gained National League North experience with AFC Fylde, where he made 52 appearances in two seasons before joining Fleetwood in 2016.
The Trawlermen have yet to hand Charles his league debut, therefore continuing his progression with Town becomes key to his future development. Charles is expected to make his first appearance of the new loan against Carlisle United.
