FC Halifax Town Matty Brown has said that the squad must stick together after they suffered a devastating 1-0 home defeat to Barrow AFC this afternoon.

Jordan Whiteโ€™s second-half header gave Barrow all three points at the MBi Shay Stadium and stretched winless in the Vanarama National League to 11 matches.

Brown has insisted that the team will continue to be close knit together despite their recent disappointing spell.

โ€œWe will all stick together,โ€ Brown told ShaymenTV post-match, โ€œand weโ€™ve got to stick together more than ever now to come through this period.

โ€œItโ€™s just hard to take but we just need to ride the storm and come out of it.โ€

The Halifax captain has the result was even more disappointing considering that Town dominated much of the game against the Cumbrian side.

โ€œThey didnโ€™t really threaten our goal,โ€ Brown continued. โ€œBut, it has gone in and itโ€™s just hard to take really.

โ€œWeโ€™ve done relatively well, weโ€™ve created chances in the first-half. But, itโ€™s just that bit of luck at the moment, things just arenโ€™t going our way at the minute.

โ€œYou canโ€™t fault any of the lads, weโ€™re working hard. Itโ€™s just not happening for us at the moment and that sometimes happens in football.

โ€œBut, we just need to stay together the push through it.โ€
