We spoke to Cameron King after last night’s match at Brighouse Town.
7-1 win we’ve just spoke to the boss it’s not all about the result but the performance, but personally getting a goal does that make a difference?
Obviously, it’s great to get off the mark, but more importantly we put the effort in tonight we give 100% no matter who we play against. Just make sure we do everything right in this pre-season period because we’re going to play against different levels of teams, so we just got to make sure we’re doing it every single game.
How is pre-season going, new players coming in, new system in becoming full-time, has it changed much from your point of view?
Obviously, a lot of the players are new so it’s just getting used to each others style’s. A lot of hard work has gone into the last few weeks and it will start to show in our performances because we’ll be able to run and run. But as I said just getting used to playing with different players and getting used to their movement so we’re on the same level come the beginning of the season.
Season starts 4th August against Braintree, is there anything personally that you are working on or want to achieve before then?
If I am going at 100% by the 4th August, then I’ll be happy. Just got to keep going the way you are and be fit and ready come that time.
Bolton is the next game arguably the toughest game in this pre-season against a Championship side. What are you looking forward facing a side like that?
Obviously, a lot of the lads have come from the academies they know and have been at these levels, and they what it’s about, that’s what we want to do we want to test ourselves against the better teams. More importantly put in a good performance that makes it a good day at the office if we can go there and do our job and come out with putting a good performance in.
