Goals from Richard Peniket, Tom Denton and Matty Kosylo sealed the three points for the Shaymen, who stay in fifth place keeping the pressure on the sides above them. Billy Heathโ€™s side came from 1-0 down, with Oli Johnson looping the ball over Sam Johnson against the run of play.

Both sides finished the match with ten men as Oli Johnson was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence on Matty Brown, and Peniket saw a straight red after going in with his elbow on Ryan Toulson.

Park Avenueโ€™s game plan was clear from the first minute. Oli Johnson was the outlook for Mark Bowerโ€™s side as they looked to play the ball over Townโ€™s two centre-backs to the pacey forward. In the first-half it just wasnโ€™t working for the home side as Johnson was caught offside several times in the opening 45 minutes.

Town had a shout for a penalty 20 minutes into the match as Adam Morgan goes down off the ball but the referee didnโ€™t see anything in it and the play continued.

The first real chance of the half fell to Danny Boshell for the home side. David Lynch is guilty of a foul on edge of the area as the referee blew up for a free-kick on the edge of the area. Boshell stepped up and dinked the set-piece over the wall but the ball fell wide of Sam Johnsonโ€™s left-hand post.

The game exploded into life in the second period and the first goal came midway through the second period. Johnson latched onto a through ball to loop the ball over his namesake Johnson in the Halifax goal.

Five minutes later and Town were back on level terms thanks to Peniketโ€™s smart finish in the bottom corner beyond Worsnop. Denton knocked the ball down cleverly with Peniket using his composure to strike it in the corner.

With just five minutes left to play before the final whistle and substitute Denton put the Shaymen in the lead for the first time after flicking in a cross into the corner, out of the reach of Avenueโ€™s stretching goalkeeper. It goes down as a Denton goal but many are giving it to Matty Brown.

With the final whistle looming, the never-tiring Kosylo made it three and game over. The midfielder capitalised on a defensive error as Avenue were pushing players forward. Kosylo had the freedom of Bradford to calmly put the ball round Worsnop into an empty net, with the Shay faithful spilling out onto the pitch.
