FC Halifax Town midfielder Josh MacDonald spoke ahead of the clash against Barrow this Saturday, he believes that the last game was such a thriller, but the squad have come out of it in good spirits and are looking forward to the next fixture.

โ€œIt was a tough game, we went behind early on, but all the lads dug in until the end, there was a few tired legs.โ€ He said.

โ€œWe didnโ€™t train on Thursday, so the lads were ready for the game and I think everyone has recovered well. We will train on Thursday and hopefully everyone will be ready for Saturday.โ€ MacDonald added.

Going into the Barrow game, MacDonald spoke about the team wanting to start the next game how they left off at the end of the Eastleigh game.

โ€œWe finished the game well and strong. As well as being the better team in the first half anyway I think, so we just need to pick up where we left off.โ€ MacDonald told FCHT.

โ€œWe will keep going and hopefully the results will start to turn for us.โ€ He added.

The performances lately have perhaps not got the results that they deserved, and MacDonald talks about the results coming should the good performances continue.

โ€œYeah, we should have come out with three points on Saturday. Hopefully if we keep working hard then we will get the results that our performances deserve.โ€

Throughout the recent away matches, all though the team might not have got the result that they were hoping for at Sutton United and Hartlepool, MacDonaldโ€™s individual performances have been on a good standard. He speaks about how he can do that especially when the results aren’t going the teamโ€™s way.

โ€œYou just need to try and do what you can do for the team. Keep trying and to do the things that you are good at.โ€ MacDonald said.

โ€œHopefully I might perform a bit of brilliance and create an opportunity which can spring our performance in the game.

โ€œIf I keep doing what I am doing, getting crosses in then we will eventually score goals hopefully and then start to get three points.โ€ He added.

The midfielder spoke about the next game and how big it could be for the team if they were to get that positive result.

โ€œIt was obviously a big game going into it, everyone had a good game. We have still got a lot of confidence going into the game against Barrow and hopefully the results can change in the end.โ€ MacDonald told FCHT.
