Neil Aspin has reiterated his desire to play winning football ahead of Saturday’s play-off clash against Barnet.

“We could go to Barnet and a point would be a great result but we won’t just accept that at the start we have to try and win the game” said Aspin.

Town’s poor away form has turned around in recent weeks after wins at Hyde, Welling and Nuneaton, Aspin has ensured the Shaymen fans Town always set out to win:

“I am not a big fan of social media, but obviously I have people that work for me and I have people who tell me what’s said about me and I receive criticism when we are not winning away from home, but the truth of the matter is we have never set out to not win games away from home. “

Aspin has explained why the away form has come on leaps and bounds:

But now we defend better, we set out in the same formation but now I feel we have more experience at this level, we are not making as much mistakes at the back and even when we weren’t doing well we always had a chance of scoring, so we set out to try and win games.

5th place Town travel to 8th place Barnet two points better off having played a game less this Saturday as we look forward to another play-off clash.
