  1. They are nicknamed “The Gunners” as they were founded by a group of cannon workers in 1886.
  2. Arsenal have spent their entire history in England’s top flight, meaning they are the only team in the country never to be relegated.
  3. The gunners were awarded a s special gold Premier league trophy for going the whole of the 2003/04 league season unbeaten.
  4. Arsenal are the most successful team in FA cup history, winning the trophy 12 times.
  5. Former defender David O’Leary has most the most appearances for the club, playing for gunners 772 times.
  6. Current manager Arsene Wenger is the longest serving in the club’s history having joined back in 1996.
  7. Arsenal are the only British team to beat both Inter Milan and AC Milan at the San Siro.
  8. Arsenal’s traditional red home kit can be traced back to Nottingham Forest, as some of the Arsenal players had to ask their old club if they could borrow their kits due to a shortage, forest obliged, and the colours stuck.
  9.  Arsenal were involved in the first match on live radio against Sheffield United in 1927, as well as the first televised match between Arsenal and Arsenal reserves in 1937.
  10. In 1993 they became the first English side to win a League Cup and FA Cup double.
